Manga Book Five

Note: This book recounts what happened so far in the story as well as gives a breif description of the main characters.

Scroll One: Spider Head

It starts out with everyone except poor Shippo enjoying a boat ride. They are soon joined by a girl who fell off a cliff while trying to escape from a demon. Luckily Inuyasha saves her from her fall. She's happy at first to be safe then gets all mad cuz Inuyasha's a demon! The girls not very nice at first & finally Kagome gets her to talk. Then she wants to help her & Inuyasha's like you've got to be kidding! So after the girl leaves & falls again & gets hurt, the gang take her to her home. (Inuyasha's not happy! ^^) They are greeted by an old monk & the girl who's name is Nazuna, tells him what happened. The monk invites them to stay the night as guests. The monk tells Nazuna's story to Kagome. The monk ticks off Inyasha by saying he's a mortal that looks demonic, but his soul isn't. So after a well placed "sit Boy"! they stay the night. Kagome & Myoga try & make Inuyasha feel better & not to be upset by the monk. Funny moment when Kagome asks Inuyasha if he's afraid of spiders. Inuyasha tells them he's leaving & sleeping alone! Meanwhile the ceiling is teeming with...Spider demons! & in another part of the monastery.. Nazuna finds the monk overcome by them! Back to Kagome, Inuyasha & Shippo, where Inuyasha has a very bad battle with them & he can't transform the Tetsusaiga! With Shippo's help they get out of there only to find something's wrong with Inuyasha! He tells them he can't protect them & when he removes the spider silk he looks completely different! He looks human!

Scroll Two: New Moon

Meanwhile Nazuna is told by the monk to leave as he can't help her either. He tells her to go live with Inuyasha & company! Meanwhile Kagome & Shippo are like "what happened to you?!" So Myoga tells them that in the life of every half demon, there are times when his demon power ebbs away. Since they are very vulnerable at that time they never let anyone know about it. Everyone's like "why couldn't you trust us?" & Inuyasha's like I trust no one! Which makes Kagome cry & a fight breaks out! Then Shippo has a very brave moment when he realizes he's got to protect them all as the only demon there! (awwwwweeee!!!!^^) Then Nazuna shows up & tells them the demon dog can save them & Inuyasha wants to leave & Nazuna's amazed he's human now. Then Kagome realizes she left the jewel shards behind!!!! So they go back. They fight a few spiders & then find the monk tied up in a huge spider web. Meanwhile Nazuna tells Kagome a bit more about her past. That's when Kagome has a feeling the monk wasn't what he seemed! Now the spider monk has Inuyasha!

Scroll Three: The Spider's Web

The Spider monk battles Inuyasha & Shippo! Turns out the Spider monk knew they had jewel shards with them! He wants the shards & he bites Inuyasha! Shippo finds an acorn & uses it to get help from the girls! The girls come there & they're ready to kick some spider butt until Kagome sees Inuyasha hung up in the web & he doesn't look good. Kagome uses Tetsusaiga (still sheathed) to help her reach Inuyasha. The girls just manage to escape with them. Kagome is sooo worried about Inuyasha cuz he's sooo cold. The spider monk goats!

Scroll Four: Inside the Aura

Everyone is worried Inuyasha will now die from the spider bite! Myoga even tries to help by sucking out as much of the poison as he can! Then Inuyasha moans & Kagome is right there! It's just tooo sweet as Inuyasha asks her why she's crying& Kagome tells him she thought he was gone! It soon turns into one of their many fights!!! ^^ Then the the spider monk is mad cuz the jewel shards are gone. Meanwhile the girls are about the smash something... It's Shippo & he rescued the shards! Meanwhile the spider monk tries to get in the room they're all hiding in but can't cuz Tetsusaiga is stuck in the door. So they have to wait until Inyasha revives & his power is back. Everyone tries to sleep. Kagome wakes up & notices Inuyasha is drenched like from a fever. She wipes his forehead & he opens his eyes!!!! He asks her again why she was crying & she tells him, then he asks to put his head in her lap. As he drifts off into sleep again he tells her she smells good & that he lied when he said he hated her scent! Kagome is surprised when Nazuna tells her to get some sleep too! So she does& Nazuna is up alone. She thinks about what happened & the spider monk calls out to her. He lies & tells her that it's Inuyasha & Company's fault he wound up possessed by a demon. He tells her he needs the shards to help him exorcise the demons. He keeps at her until she gives in.Now they're in trouble as he's in the room with them!!!! He eats the jewel shards! & just as he's about to kill Inuyasha....

Scroll Five: The Demon Reborn

They get into another battle as Inuyasha's powers are returning!!! He battles the spider monk, but because of the shards he might as well be doing nothing! Then a stray part of the spider monk grabs Nazuna as Inuyasha get tied up in spider silk! It's cuz he used Nazuna to shield himself from Inuyasha as he knew Inuyasha wouldn't hurt her! Then the spider demon tells her he was the one who killed her father! She gets ticked off & stabs him with Tetsusaiga! Meanwhile just as it looks like she's a goner, Inuyasha reaches in to save her!

Scroll Six: Where the Shards Are

More spider butt kicking before the tables are turned & it doesn't look good for Inuyasha & Nazuna! Then he saves her (to her amazement!) even though he just wants to get the Tetsusaiga! They argue a bit before he almost reaches it! Then the Spider monk is at it agin!!!! He grabs it from Nazuna & the Tetsusaiga comes to life & Inuyasha starts kicking butt again! YAY!!! The Spider monk is dead & Nazuna thanks him! He tells her he was giving what he got & besides half the deed was hers! (high praise indeed!^^) Then they find the shards of the jewel had fused together in the spider monk's body! Then they leave Nazuna behind to look for more shards! They also decide on the way to help Inuyasha keep his secret! & Kagome starts wondering if he really likes her.

Scroll Seven: Earth & Bones

Flashback sceens of Inuyasha & Kikyo! He wakes up to realize it was a dream. So he starts thinking about Kagome & goes down to where she's sleeping & while staring at her he gets whacked for his trouble! (bad Kagome!) It starts another fight that is over as quick as it started cuz they see a weird old hag flying across the sky! Inuyasha says it's a demon & he smells blood! They go off to investigate! They wind up back at Kaede's village to find out what happened. It turns out someone robbed Kikyo's grave of her bones! Kaede's worried about the trouble that will happen because of this. Kikyo's bones have power too. Inuyasha then gets Myoga to tell him about Urasue. He doesn't know much & when Inuyasha mentions that he also smelled the damp earth of the grave as well as the bones, he freaks. Then Kagome shows up & asks Inuyasha if he's coming. She tells him his enemy deserves to rest in peace & she asks if he can forget what happened between them before she realizes he has looked in the eye since that happened. Then she asks him if she looks like Kikyo so much he that he hates her! He tells her she got it wrong.they look like they're about to kiss before Kagome freaks & pushes him away. Kaede leaves & Kagome & Shippo follow her. She asks Kaede if Kikyo & Inuyasha were really enemies. Inuyasha also shows up & he acts like that's all they were but Kagome can tell he's hiding something. Meanwhile somewhere in the mountains Urasue is cooking up something...

Scroll Eight: Empty Shell

Kagome wonders about Inuyasha & Kikyo & figures out that they must have loved each other.She's lost in her thoughts as Inuyasha smells the demon. Inuyasha gets mad at her cuz she's looking at him like she feels sorry for him. Kaede stops their fight by telling them they have to hurry & get the bones back before something terrible happens. Meanwhile Urasue is making something... there's a clay form that vaguely looks like a person & when she tells it to it breaks open to reveal a girl! It's Kikyo or would be Kikyo if her soul wasn't reborn into Kagome, but Urasue doesn't know that. So Kikyo can't do much of anything, which is good as Urasue wants her to be her servant. Then Urasue realizes Kikyo's soul isn't there. Meanwhile the gang is closer to finding Urasue. While on a rope bridge they or rather Inuyasha battles some clay soldiers. Urasue shows up & realizes Kagome has Kikyo's soul! She destroys the bridge & carries off Kagome. Then she puts Kagome into a pool of herbal water so that her soul can go back to Kikyo.

 

Scroll Nine: Resistance

Inuyasha finds himself at the bottom of the ravine & he's like where did everybody go? then a giant leaf floats down & lands on him! On top where Kaede & Shippo! Inuyasha then learns that Kagome was kidnapped! Then Kaede wants to know exactly what happened between Kikyo & Inuyasha! She wants to know as she has a feeling he's going to be reunited with Kikyo! Meanwhile Kagome is lying in that herbal bath & Urasue tells her she's soon going to return her soul to Kikyo! Then Urasue sees the jewel shards, as she goes to get then Kagome tells he she can't have them & somehow a sheild is up around Kagome! Meanwhile Inuyasha & company are out to save Kagome! Flashbacks of Inuyasha's realtionship with Kikyo. Then Kaede's asking him why he's so quiet(he must have been thinking of Kikyo). She asks him if he's remembering the love he felt for her. He quickly answers no & tells Kaede that Kikyo tricked him! & that she knows the rest. But Kaede feels there's something not right about what happened. Meanwhile Kagome still in the herb bath & Urasue can't get her soul back into Kikyo... when Inuyasha finally shows up! They are surprised to see Kikyo & when Inuyasha calls her name... the sheild cracks around Kahgome!

Scroll Ten: Betrayal

Silly Inuyasha winds up calling Kikyo's name and that's all it took to break the shiels around Kagome. When that happens he wonders what happened & Urasue tells him her soul is leaving her to go back to Kikyo! Urasue is like majorly happy at this! Meanwhile Shippo tells Kagome to hang on & Kaede gets Urasue to confirm that she stole Kikyo's bones to revive her! Best part about this is while Urasue thinks Kikyo will be her slave, Kikyo shows her otherwise by destroying her! Kikyo never wanted to be alive again! Anyways when Inuyasha calls to her she turns to him all sweetly & then Turns on him by demanding to know why he betrayed her!!!That's why she used the last of her power to catch him in a spell before she died. Kikyo is like majorly PO-ed by this qwhole situation & not even Kaede can calm her down. She rants about what happened & won't listen to Inuyasha when he tells her he didn't do it! All she wants to do is kill him!
