Note: This book recounts what happened so far in the story as well as gives a brief description of the main characters.

Starts with a page of Sango saying she brought the sword as promised to Naraku. Then it's goes on with Inu & Kagome off after her. Miroku is defending Sango. Meanwhile Sango tries to trick Naraku & keep the sword & get her brother. It doesn't work. Naraku now has both. When see she's what he looks like under the fur, she shocked to see he was Lord Kagawaki! Naraku oeverpowers her. Kirara tries to save her. Naraku then tells Sango he's going to have Kohaku kill her. Meanwhile the gang sees Naraku's bees & they follow them. Poor Sango is being wounded by her brother. She still loves him. Naraku wanted her to hate Kohaku, but she can't...& Kohaku hesistaes. Naraku can't understand why either. Then the gang shows up which makes Naraku very ahppy! He & Inu go at it. Naraku reases siome poisonous vapors. They now can't fight or the poison will increase!

They're stuck now in the middle of the poison. Kagome tells Sango she forgives her, but Inu tells her she's not getting off that easily. Naraku's voice can be heard taunting them & telling them it's all Sango's fault they're going to die. Inu throws his fire rat haori at Kagome & tries to get out of the poison by clearing a path of escape. Then Miroku tries to suck it all up but Inu stops him by punching him in the stomach. (Japanese way of knocking someone out in anime/manga) Then Kagome gets mad after hearing more of Naraku's gloating. She sees a jewel shard & gets the bright idea of shooting it. So Inu distracts Naraku by fighting again with him. That was Kagome's chjance & everyone including Naraku is surprised when the arrow hits it's mark! She's not only destroyed the building he was hiding in, but she blew off Naraku's arm! It ends with a pic of one mighty ticked off Kagome yelling at Naraku! & He's like who is she?

More of Naraku's & Kagome's standoff. She shoots him again & he's only a head now. No one can bvelieve what they are seeing! Naraku leaves them with a bang! The castle & everything is gone. Inu has his sword back. Meanwhile Kohaku runs off with Naraku's head. Naraku thinks & He's like how do I get the girl(Kagome) away from Inu? Kagome is sorry she couldn't kill him & everyone's like don't worry about it. Inu is even amazed at what did & tells her. Kagome's still angry with herself for what she sees a s failure. Meanwhile Sango's trying to leave & Shippo calls attention to it. Evryone tells her to stay they need her. She feels terrible of course & doesn't want to. You gotta love that Hanyou when he tells her to stay because she's useful in a fight! ^^ Sangos' crying cuz she's afraid & Kagome's crying because Sango is & they guys are like clueless! But it ends with Kagome thinking about how they're all going to stand by her.

Both Sango & Kirara are sick from the fight with Naraku. Myouga tells about some medicinal herbs that will help, but the catch is they are guarded by a demon. Then we see Sango & Miroku talking. He's telling her he's been left behind to look after her. She's like I'd rahter be alone. Shippo then pops up to tell her he's been left behind to look after Miroku! Meanwhile Inu & Kagome go to the village to get the herbs on the back of her bike. Very kawaii scene of Inu falling asleep on her. So she lets him sleep & he falls off on his head! Menawhile something is after a village woman & it kills her. Then back to Kag & Inu & they talk & he sulks a bit & so does she. Then abck to the villagers finding the body of the woman. They blame someone called the Earth Boy. Kag & Inu over hear them. Inu asks them if Earthboy is a demon. They freak cuz Inu is hanyou. Kag tells them they're just looking for the medicinal herbs. They're told Earth Boy guarsd them. & they tell them he likes to eat human flesh! Then we see a poor weird looking deomn. The villagers are frighten & INu is like nop problem.. he can easily take him to get what he needs. The villagers are happy that one deomn is going to destroy the other one. Inu goes up to Earth boy expecting a fight but he's afraid of him & earht boy calls for his mommy! She comes & bashes Inu who just looks at her. The villager leave. Inu finally asks just what is going on here. The woman tells him the villagers hate her son cuz he's a hanyou! Kag & Inu are stunned.

They go in to the woman's house & she can tell Inu's a hanyou too. She tells tehm her story. Funny scene when Inu realizes the woman is human. We learn her son's name is Jineji. He shows Kag & inu which herbs will help. They leave. Kag is like we can't go. Inu tells her the reason Jinenji gets opicked on is cuz he's soft. Then they hear the villagers palnning to kill Jineji & his mom. Somehow after yelling at the villagers Kag & Inu are involved in finding the true killer. So Inu goes off to find him & Kag stays & ahngs our with Jinenji. Both Jinenji & his mom are amazed Kag isn't afraid of him yet she's scared of worms. Then Inu finds the demon causing all the trouble. It's a mother demon who's been teaching her babies to eat the humans. Meanwhile as they're sleeping the villagers are planning to burn down Jineji's house.

In this scroll they try to save themselves from the villagers. As they are doing that the true killer demon appears. It kills some of them & it's babies eat the bodies. Kag tries to kill it with an arrow. It hurts her & tries to kill her. Jineji gets mad cuz Kag was nice to him so her goes after the demon. Inu shows up & kills the babies. Inu then tells everyone he's not needed as Jinenji can take care of it himself.

Jinenji's mom also tells Inu not to help. All he does is make the villagers stay to watch. Jinenji defeats the demon & the villagers are scared. Jineji then helps them with their wounds. Inu is mad & even the mom thinks Jinenji is a fool. then the villagers caome & help. Kag & Inu say good bye & leave. Inu finally opens up & we learn a little about how his life was when he was younger. Funny scene where he yells at kag for being happy he's miserable! She tells him she's happy to see another side of him. He thinks about how nice it is to be with her.

Scene of a castle & some injured men as well as one who calls out to Kikyou. She's there treating the wounded. Odd but she can see Gaki like Sesshy can. Anyways some samurai come by & get her to go to their castle. Meanwhile some poor villagers are working in a field. they think it's raining but, it's just some demon parts falling from the sky. the gang are investigating it. Inu doesn't want to as he wants to find Naraku. Too bad for you Inu as Miroku has already accepted payment to get rid of the evil in the area. Sango then wonders if there are other demons who could emit such powerful evil besides Naraku. Anyways Kikyou is taken to th castle to see the sick lord. She can sense the evil there. He's like Kikyou?! She's like yes that's my name. & he's like who is this woman. Meanwhile the gang has tracked the source of the evil to a cave. Inu makes Miroku go with him. Then back to Kikyou talking to one of the lord's servants. She tells him she can't help their Lord Kagewaki. She still is puzzled by him as he's evil & she can't sense any life in him fro the neck down. It ends with Naraku pondering on whether or not he'll let Kikyou live after he's done with her.

Various scenes of Narauku & his castle. Meanwhile Kikyou escapes with the help of her soul skimmers. Anywyas poor Sango can't take the evil cming out of the cave, by=ut Kag & shippo are fine. Kag wonders if Inu is alright. He is but Miroku isn't. they find a pit with all kinds of demon remains in it. Two demons in the pit are battling. The figure out that the remains that were in the sky before are from this. Miroku wonders what the purpose of this place is. They watch as the winner of the battle merges with the loser. the winner spots Inu & challenges him to a fight. Inu jumps in of course & Miroku suddenly realizes why that's a bad idea. Meanwhile the girls are now sitting in the dark & Sango wants to go inside, but Kag stops her. then looking around she sees Kikyou standing there. Kikyou asks if Inu is inside.

Kag wonders why Kiyou is there. Sango thinks Kag & Kikyou look alike. Kikyou goes oinside the cave & Kag follows here. Sango sends Kirara along too. Poor Kikyou her dead souls are leaving her. Meanwhile Inu & the demon are still fighting. Miroku tries to talk him out of it. Inu doesn't believe him when he tells him he'll be absorbed if he continues the fight. Just when it appears hopeless to Miroku, Kikyou appears. Inu spots her. She's like half dead now *laughs* & falls. he goes to catch her. Meanwhile Kag senses a jewel shard. Naraku is sitting on the cliff overlooking the cave, watching. Turns out that when Inu & the demon are done battling Naraku's new body will be ready. & Kikyou looks about 3/4 dead now.
