Note: This book recounts what happened so far in the story as well as gives a brief description of the main characters.

Starts with poor Inuyasha underwater and everyone wondering if he's alright as he hasn't surfaced yet. Miroku who has the Water Goddess, puts her down & she removes an earing & throws it in the water. The False Water god tries to stop her. Unfortunately she has fallen asleep, so the others have to abttle him to keep her safe. Then Inuyasha shows up & joins the battle. He & Sango battle the false god. Meanwhile the water is churning up & the village is in danger.

Meanwhile the Water Goddess has woken up & she tells Kagome that she can stop the typhoon but she needs her Amakoi Halberd first. Both Kagome & Taro-maru rush to get it. He jumps in the water because he feels bad that as the head master's son he was exempt from being sacrificed. He gets it & is ultimately rescued by Inuyasha once he ahs destroyed the false water god. The Goddess has her halberd returned & she stpos the typhoon in time to save the village. The head master apologises to Suikichi. We see the gang heading back on their way to find more shards. Funny ending of how Miroku has a ton of stuff that he wants to sell to have a feast & Sango is like what kind of priest is he?

It starts out with Sango desytroying a demon. Poor iNuyasha is over come by the fumes of the smoke she used. Meanwhile Miroku spots a pretty woman in the group of villagers & he goes off with her. We then see the aftermath of the destroyed rat demon; poor INuyasha is ill & while he is resting the girls learn from Shippo that Miroku is off with the woman. She asks him to give her a child & he's flattered. Truns out she's not really a woman but a praying mantis deomn. Miroku winds up sucking her into his void & he hurts hus hand while doing it. Naraku's bees se this & leave. Meanwhile he's back & Inuyasha is ok. The girls give him a frosty stare & Inu tells him it's his own fault. Everyone falls asleep except miroku who thinks about his hand. Next morning they wake up & find Miroku is gone. Kagome asks around if anyone has seen him. A man tells her he left a message for them. They go off after him. Inuyasha spots Naraku & takes a swipe at him. Meanwhile Naraku is really hanging out at home. His bee returns & tells him what he saw. Naraku is happy Miroku is by himself as he wants to kill him.

Miroku is with Hachi (his tanuki friend) & he ahs a flashback of when he was little & his father died. He worried he will die the same way. He & Hachi are at the temple where he grew up. He finds Mushin, the monk who raised him, passed out drunk. He wake him up. Mushin looks at his hand & tells Miroku he can help him, but Miroku can't use the ahnd until it heals othrwise he'll die that much quicker. So they decide to fix his hand & Miroku is sent to purify himself while Mushin prepares some herbs. Meanwhile Inuyasha & Sango are after 'Naraku' they finally destroy him only to find he wasn't really there. Kagome wonders why Miroku left & Myouga tells what he knows & they all decide to go get him. Meanwhile Miroku gets ready for his operation. Unknown to him or Mushin there is a demon outside. He releases some urn grubs & they possess Mushin....poor Miroku is about to die! Hopefully the gang can find him in time as they have go back & start their search all over again!

Poor Miroku nearly gets his head chopped off by Mushin! Miroku figures it out very quickly that's something's up with his old friend. He fights for his life, which is hard as he doesn't want to hurt his friend. Then he sends Hachi off to go find Inuyasha & he's chsed by Naraku's bees for his troubles. Meanwhile the gang is like where's Miroku? & they set out looking for him & run into Hachi. He tells them what's going on. meanwhile there's a ton of demons after poor Miroku! He's doing his best to hold them at bay & he gets the shock of his life when Inu & company arrive in time to kicvk some demon butt.

Everyone's mad at MIroku for running away like that. & Kagome let's know just how mad! The show down between Mushin & Inuyasha begins. Unfortunately for Inuyasha he's been wrapped up in a giany rosary. He can fight at first but not for long. Meanwhile Kagome notices the worms coming out of Mushin's mouth & Myouga tells what they are. She looks like she's forming a plan. Meanwhile the demon controling the grubs thinks he's ok until Kagome tries to get him with an arrow. Things don't look good for Inuyasha, or Miroku. Then Inuyasha gets a burst of energy & grabs a hold of Mushin. Mushin uses the fact that only he can help Miroku to get away.

Miroku then uses his hand again to save Inuyasha from even more demons. It was just what Inuyasha needed to break free of the rosary & get away. He's so ticked off that he's able to use the Tetsusaiga to kill 100 with one swing. The lil darling can't believe he actually did too! Then Sango notices the urn demon getting away. She destroys it, they get the urn & the grubs leave Mushin & go back into the urn. Then everyone sits around waiting for Miroku to have his hand fixed & recover. Inu & Mushin go off alone & he tells Inu to defeat Naraku as quickly as possible. Meanwhile the girls are fussing over Miroku. Funny scene of him showing off the hand with the wind tunnel in it while the other hand is groping Sango's butt! He now has a lump on his head to go with the hole in his hand. Meanwhile the bee goes home to Naraku & tells him what Inu did with the Tetsusaiga. Then Naraku brings out his secret weapon...& we see a ghostly image of someone who looks like Kohaku!

Inu & Miroku talk about Naraku. Meanwhile the girls are bathing & Kagome notices the scar on Sango's back. She tells her how it happened. Then the girls bash a monkey they thought was the guys. The guys come running to see what all the fuss is about, see the girls naked & get bashed for their trouble. It's either the next day or later on but they are out & they see a villager coming towards them. He dies in front of them. The go farther & find the whole village has been massacred. While there Inu senses someone & there's a brief battle with someone weilding a sicle chain. Sango realizes it her brother. She & Kirara go off after him. Inu has trouble following. Ssango meet ups with Kohaku & is surprised to see Naraku with him.

While everyone is off looking for Sango, she's talking with Naraku. He tells her Kohaku's alive because of a jewel shard. In fact it's the one Kagome senses & she tells the guys about it. Naraku tells Sango to steal Inu's sword. She's ticked off & goes to attack Naraku who's saved by Kohaku! They leave & the gang find Sango. Myouga asks if she went off with her brother. Sango gets mad & says it wasn't hiom. They all buried the dead & Sango asks Miroku to say a prayer for the dead. Kagome & Miroku talk about poor Sango. Inu wants the shard in Kohaku's back. He goes off to threaten Sango about it & gets sat for his trouble. Sango can't sleep that night & thinks about doing what Naraku said. As she tries something Inu wakes up & they talk. Meanwhile Kohaku shows up out side with a ton of demons, ready for battle.

Inu & Sango talk about what she found after she left them eariler. Kagome hears them & thinks he talking about Kikyou. Then Miroku tells INu to be on guard as they're cooming for them. It's Kohaku outside with his demon pals. Sango knows this. Then Inu jumps in to battle him. The girls are like don't hurt Kohaku. He won't so Kohaku hurts himself. He tries to dig out the jewel shard in his back. During the fight Inu looses the Tetsusaiga. It stand there between Inu & Sango & she takes it & leaves. She takes it to Naraku because she wants to save her brother.
