Epi starts with a recap of what happened so far, in other words how they met up with Kohaku again. Anyway Kagura is there looking for him as Naraku wants his shard back. So while Inu & Miroku are fighting her demon horde, Kohaku is remembering he's supposed to kill Kagome! He manages to get her in the arm, while Sango is out kicking demon butt! She wants to keep her brother safe & goes after them when she hears Kagome scream. Just when Kohaku is ready for the kill, he can't & Sango is able to show up in time. She's upset that Kohaku hurt Kagome. Sango leaves Kirara to watch over Kagome while she goes after her brother. The guys are busy & Shippo stupidly lets Kagura know Kohaku isn't there in the hut. Anyways the guys figure out that Kagome's in danger. Inu gets mad enough to use his sword while Miroku sucks up a few demons until he's ill. Then Inu goes off to rescue Kagome While Kagura leaves on her feather. Even though he's ill, Miroku & Shippo agree to help Inu. We see Kohaku running through the forest. Sango catches up to him & in a tense moment she decides to kill him. Luckily Inu stops her in time after talking to Kagome cuz she was planning to kill herself after she killed him. Anyway Inu knocks Sango's sword away & Kohaku gets away with Kagura. Kagura tells them Kohaku doesn't want to remember his painful memories. Inu tries to force Kohaku to remember as he feels that's the only way to save him. They leave on her feather. Anyway as they leave Inu explains to Sango that Kohaku still has some heart cuz he somehow refused t carry out Naraku's orders to kill Kagome. Anyway Inu is annoyed & tells her that they have to take Kohaku alive n order to defeat Naraku’s evil schemes. Then Naraku is seen talking to Kohaku. He gives him back his memories which horrify & cause Kohaku pain, before taking them away again. The one thing Naraku couldn't take away is the image of Sango crying.
