Scenes of Kaede's village. Kagome & Inu are still fighting with each other & Kagome goes home. Shippo tries to get her to stay. She tells Shippo she's really coming right back after she picks up a few things. Then there's scenes of another village. Kikyo's there. She senese something & goes into the woods. She knows it's Naraku & he's been spying on her. She laughs at him. She tells him the reason he does that is it's cuz he has Onigumo's heart within. Kagome comes home in time for breakfast. She goes & has a bath. She tells her family she's leaving after a nap. Meanwhile back in fuedal Japan... Naraku is sitting around brooding about Kikyo & what she said. (Flashbacks of how Naraku came to be). He's annoyed & the storm outside seems to echo hios mood. He's a bit happy the jewel is almost complete. A giant red serpant thing(looks like kikyo's soul collectors) comes & Kikyo notices souls are flying towards it. Kikyo leaves as she knows it has to do with Naraku. The red thing tries to steal all Kikyo's souls & she falls off the horse she was riding & falls down a cliff. Then it shifts back to Inu & the gang. Sango asks how Miroku's wounds are doing & he says he's feeling much better thanks to them. They talk about what happened to give him those wounds in other words they talk about Naraku & his kids! Kaede tells everyone to be careful. Miroku tells Inu to go warn Kagome, & Inu's like we're better off without her which leads to a discusion of Inu's behavior towards Kagome. Only Shippo knows Kagome will be right back. Inu gets really angry & stalks off. Everyone sits there shaking their heads. So Inu goes & hangs by the well & he's thinking about her. Then he picks up as demon scent. He sees the giant soul collector & a half dead kikyo falls into his arms. The Naraku bees are there too. Inu vows to keep Kikyo safe from Naraku so he carries her off. He leaves her by a tree & goes after the red serpant thing. They battle & Inu slices it in two. The souls fly out of it & the soul collectors bring them back to Kikyo. They talk once she recovers a bit. Meanwhile it's night back in modern Japan & Kagome's still alseep, until she realizes it was late & she yells at everyone. Then abck to Inu & Kikyo. They reminice. He asks her if he's changed. He tells her his life is hers & she tells him he's just like Naraku which shocks him. So Kikyo tells him that Onigumo caused all this because he was jealous of Inu. She tells Inu she's ready to leave. He's pissed cuz now he knows Naraku could love Kikyo too. Meanwhile Kagome has returned & she catches Inu & Kikyo together. He hugs her & Kagome hears her tell him to let her go before the hug gets more serious. She hears Inu tell Kikyo he'll protect her & Then Kikyo pulls out a dagger & she calls him a fool. Then Kikyo vows to kill Naraku on her own. She leaves & he calls out to her. Then it's back at Naraku's he cut off the spider scar & it keeps growing back. At Kaede's they see they lights that signal Kikyo is nearby. Meanwhuile Inu hears something & realizes Kagome saw everything. She can't figure out why he's looking at her.
